Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 August 2024

These terms govern your use of CoinX1. Please read them before opening an account — by registering you agree to be bound by them.

1. Who we are

CoinX1 (“the platform”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], registered in [COUNTRY / JURISDICTION] under company number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], with its registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS].

We are a technology platform for trading cryptocurrency instruments. We are not a bank, we do not take deposits in the banking sense, and we do not provide investment, tax or legal advice.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
  • You must not be resident in, or accessing the platform from, a jurisdiction where the services we offer are prohibited or would require a licence we do not hold.
  • You may hold only one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
  • You must not use the platform on behalf of another person, or allow anyone else to use your account.

3. Identity verification (KYC) and anti-money-laundering

We are required to know who our users are. You agree to provide accurate identity documents on request, and you accept that:

  • Withdrawals require approved identity verification. No funds leave the platform to an unverified account.
  • Positions above US$1,000 in notional exposure require approved verification. Notional exposure means your margin multiplied by your leverage — a $50 position at 50× is $2,500 of exposure.
  • We may refuse, pause or reverse a transaction, and may suspend an account, where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, sanctions exposure, or use of funds that are not yours.
  • Submitting forged or altered documents is grounds for immediate closure of the account and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

4. Deposits and withdrawals

  • Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Bank and cryptocurrency deposits are credited after review. Send only from an account in your own name — third-party funding is not accepted and may be returned or frozen pending checks.
  • Withdrawals are paid to a destination in your own name. We may hold a withdrawal while we complete verification or investigate a suspected breach of these terms.
  • Blockchain transfers are irreversible. You are responsible for the accuracy of any wallet address you provide; funds sent to an address you entered incorrectly cannot be recovered by us.

5. Trading, leverage and liquidation

The platform offers leveraged positions of up to 100×. Leverage multiplies both gains and losses. You should read the Risk Disclosure in full before trading.

  • Your position is closed automatically when its loss reaches 95% of the margin you committed. This is a system-enforced liquidation and it can happen at any time, including while you are offline. The remaining ~5% covers the closing fee.
  • An approximate liquidation price is shown on the order ticket before you confirm. It is an estimate; the actual level depends on the market price at the moment of execution.
  • Orders execute at the price available when they are processed, which may differ from the price displayed when you submitted them.
  • Market data is sourced from third-party public exchange feeds and is provided on an “as is” basis. Feeds can be delayed, interrupted or wrong.

6. Fees

A trading fee is charged on the notional value of each position when it is opened and when it is closed. The current rate is [CONFIRM CURRENT RATE — default 0.1% per side] and the applicable figure is shown on the order ticket before you confirm. We may change fees with reasonable notice; changes never apply retrospectively to positions already open.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your password and access to your email secure. Activity from your account is treated as yours.
  • Tell us immediately at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • Trade only with money you can afford to lose entirely.
  • Meet any tax obligations arising from your trading. We do not withhold or report tax on your behalf unless required by law.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Open multiple accounts, including to abuse referral rewards or promotions.
  • Use bots, scripts or automated tools to place orders or scrape the platform, other than through an interface we publish for that purpose.
  • Attempt to interfere with, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Attempt to manipulate prices, exploit a pricing or software error, or trade on the basis of a system fault. We may void trades and reverse profits that result from a demonstrable error.
  • Use the platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or to move the proceeds of crime.

9. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account, with notice where practicable, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law or by a payment provider, or if we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful use. Where an account is closed and the balance is lawfully yours, we will return it to a verified destination in your name, subject to any legal hold.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support once you have no open positions.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available continuously but we do not guarantee it. Maintenance, third-party outages, exchange feed failures and network conditions can all interrupt service. We are not liable for losses caused by an interruption outside our reasonable control, but we will not use an outage as a pretext to avoid a fair obligation to you.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for trading losses you incur, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or opportunity.

12. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, contact us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL] or through the support chat inside the app. We aim to acknowledge complaints within [e.g. 2 business days] and to resolve them within [e.g. 15 business days]. Full details are on the Contact page.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and we will notify registered users of material changes. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
